Audit of Health & Safety Policy and Safety Management Systems
Companies using our ‘Competent Person Advisory Service’ will receive an annual audit to review all areas of safety compliance. The audit will identify any non-conformances with current legislation and provide assistance and guidance on how to put the correct systems in place. The audit is broken down into five key areas of safety management and is assessed on evidence of compliance and continuous development of your safety policy & systems.

Risk Assessments and Safety Method Statements
Every employer has a statutory duty to arrange for a “competent person” to assess all risks arising in the workplace, or created by work activities. Safety method statements are produced following an initial risk assessment and detail how work activities should be carried out following a safe system of work. Our Compliance Services Division can produce your generic assessments together with those that need to be considered alongside more site-specific conditions/activities.

Fire Risk Assessments & Fire Extinguisher Maintenance
A fire risk assessment is required for all non-domestic premises and should be carried out by a competent person. MECsafe Compliance Services will carry out a risk assessment to evaluate the existing arrangements and advise on any further work that must be carried out to reduce any identified risks. As an employer you have a duty to ensure that all of your fire extinguishers are serviced annually. Should your extinguishers fall below the required standard, our qualified engineer is able to repair, re-charge and refill your extinguishers.

Contractor Health & Safety Assessment Applications
Our experienced team can help you through the often lengthy process of completing Contractor Assessment Scheme Applications by providing you with assistance in developing your existing or new safety systems in order to meet the application criteria.

Site Safety Monitoring
MECsafe Compliance Services provides a nationwide Construction Site Safety Inspection Service. Our inspectors have comprehensive experience of all types of construction work, from civil and mechanical engineering to building and maintenance works.

Student Placement Assessments
The Compliance Services Division also provides a student placement assessment service for training organisations, local authorities, colleges and schools.
