The CITB Skills and Training Fund is an incentive aimed at micro and small construction companies (less than 100 employees) to encourage them to train employees using construction industry training board courses, which align with the CITB grant scheme and any other related construction courses and NVQs.
The fund is open from 1 April 2019 to the 29 March 2020. You can submit an application at any time during this period.
The amount of funding you can apply for depends on the number of employees you have:
- 1–49 PAYE staff can receive up to £5,000
- 50–74 PAYE staff can receive up to £7,500
- 75–99 PAYE staff can receive up to £10,000
Once CITB has credited you the amount, you can start the training. You will need to retain evidence of invoices and certificates to demonstrate that the training has taken place.
Once all of the training has finished you will need to return a completion form along with the evidence to the CITB.
