Terms and Conditions
Acceptance of MECsafe Limited’s Terms and Conditions is confirmed by a completed booking form, an official Purchase Order or an e-mail requesting a booking. Please note that any personal data provided to us on booking will be processed in accordance with our Data Privacy Policy.
Prices
All prices on the www.mecsafe.co.uk website are shown excluding VAT.
Reservations
Provisional bookings may be made by telephone but must be accompanied by full payment. By making a telephone booking you are bound by our terms and conditions.
Fees
All fees are payable in advance and no admission to the course will be permitted until payment is received. Course information and prices indicated are correct at the time of publication but MECsafe reserves the right to alter prices and course information without prior notice. Customers are advised to check when ordering. All fees quoted are exclusive of VAT which will be charged in accordance with Government legislation.
Payment
Payment can be made by BACS, cheque, debit or credit card.
Joining instructions
Joining Instructions will be sent prior to course commencement. If joining instructions have not been received 3 days prior to the course, please telephone us so we can re-send.
Course Literature
Unless specified otherwise, printed course notes are included in the course fees. Course literature is subject to copyright laws and may not be reproduced without permission.
MECsafe Cancellations
Should there be insufficient delegate numbers for an ‘open-course’, MECsafe reserves the right to cancel or alter the dates or provision of service, the venue and the individual or organisation providing the service. In event of cancellation, booking will normally be transferred to the next available course unless the client specifically requests otherwise.
Client Cancellations and Transfers
Cancelations: 1 – 7 working days prior to the course starts – 100% of the course fee is still required.
Transfers: 1 – 7 working days prior to the course starts – original course fee is still required PLUS an additional 50% transfer fee.
N.B. The transfer option only relates to delegates who are transferring to a different date on the same course. The choice of course date must be specified at the time of transfer (otherwise the instruction will be considered a cancellation), the transfer fee must also be paid in advance of the new course date.
The option to transfer can only be used once, subsequent transfers will be treated as a new booking. Failure to attend will be treated as a cancellation.
Substitute delegates:
You can substitute a delegate name free of charge.
Cancellations, transfers and substitutions must be confirmed in by email.
Replacement Certificates
Certificates are sent non-recorded via 2nd class Royal Mail service. MECsafe does not except responsibility for certificates/cards lost in the post. Once the certificates/cards have left the MECsafe office all responsibility will be relinquished by ourselves. Special or recorded delivery for certificates/cards can be arranged (if specified in writing at the time of booking) and will be charged at an extra cost of £10 per envelope when requested. Replacement certificates/cards are available upon payment of the fee corresponding to individual courses and training bodies.
Force Majeure
A force majeure event is any event beyond the reasonable control of MECsafe (including, but not limited to, strikes, traffic congestion, adverse weather, the downtime of any external line, or MECsafe inability to procure services, materials or articles required for the performance of the contract except at enhanced prices).
If MECsafe is prevented or restricted from carrying out all or any of its obligations under these terms and conditions of sale by reasons of any force majeure event, then MECsafe shall be relieved of its obligations during the period that such event continues, and shall not be liable for any delay and/or failure in the performance of its obligations during such period.
