Who is this qualification for?
This QCF qualification is a specialist vocational skills programmes that develops Occupational Competence against National Occupational Standards, and provides knowledge, understanding and practical skills training for a specific Construction Industry skills set. This qualification is suitable for learners who have already completed generic construction skills training or specialist skills training at a lower level. Learners can be entering into their first employment or more experienced learners who wish to build upon their skills set.
Entry Requirements
Learners must be aged 16 and over. As this is a NVQ they must be employed in an appropriate role to be able to generate evidence of competence and simulation is not allowed.
Progression Routes
Achievement of this qualification confirms the learner has gained the knowledge and skills required to:
- Work in trowel occupations (bricklaying)
- Progress onto a Level 3 qualification in workplace supervision or a foundation degree in Construction Project Management supporting progression into supervisory and management roles
