This qualification has been developed to allow learners to evidence their occupational competence in construction site management within Building and Civil Engineering, Highways and Maintenance Repair, Residential Development, Conservation or Demolition. Learners will have the opportunity to produce workplace generated evidence focused on their main area of work.
This qualification has been developed with reference to the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and completion of the qualification will provide learners with evidence of their occupational competence and could enable them to progress onto a Level 7 Masters qualification or support promotion within own, or other organisation. Achievement of this qualification will provide the evidence required for the learner to apply for their Black Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) – Management card. The qualification will confirm competence in an occupational role to the standards required.
Entry Requirements
Learners must be age 19 years and over to take this qualification, this is necessary to ensure that the learner has either achieved the appropriate learning, or has had the opportunity to gain sufficient employment experience.
As a NVQ learners must be employed in an appropriate role to be able to generate evidence of competence and simulation is not allowed.
On Achievement
Achievement of this qualification confirms the learner has gained the knowledge and skills required to:
- Work within construction site management
- Progress onto a more senior role within construction site management or onto a Masters programme.
